What Is Hypnotherapy?

This is a very common question and one that I get everyday. Would you be surprised to know that hypnosis is just a form of focused relaxation that allows access to the subconscious mind? While in this state, your attention is moved away from the everyday world so your subconscious mind will be open to suggestions that will help you work on your goal or concern.

It’s not really like sleep, because the subject is alert the whole time. It is most often compared to daydreaming, or the feeling of “losing yourself” in a book or movie. You are fully conscious, but you tune out most of the stimuli around you. You focus intently on the subject at hand, to the near exclusion of any other thought.
